Day Trip to Plymouth (or Plimoth)

During our staycation, we decided to do the tourist thing in Plymouth - one of my all-time favorite towns. We started off with a trip to Plimoth Plantation. Here we are along the Eel River (one time my dad, two sisters, and I actually caught a bunch of eels in this river using pitchforks and then brought them home and grilled them for dinner -gross!).

Here's Jay learning how the Wampanoag Native Americans make canoes.

Here's their winter house.

Jay found something to play with in the colonists' village.

View from the fort - so beautiful.

Then we had Thai food in Plymouth Center, took a walk down to Pilgrim Memorial State Park to check out 'The Rock.'
And Plymouth Harbor.
We went on a tour of the Mayflower II.

And then over to the National Monument to the Forefathers, where two ospreys have built a nest on her head!
